Here’s some info about the performers:

T.J. NEWTON

TJ’s journey into magic began with the charm of early variety television shows that inspired him as a child. By his teens he was mentored by a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and earned a spot in both his mentor’s magic club and the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians by age fifteen.

From that humble beginning, he quickly became a staple in his community, performing for private parties and teaming with a young talented juggler and best friend performing under the name “TJ and Thompson.” Together they performed for audiences including fairs and other public events in the area.

After shifting focus to theater, TJ performed on stages along Oregon’s North Coast from the early ’90s until his move to Oregon City in 2022. His theatrical experiences include a small role in the television show Leverage and training in improvisation, character development and acting at the Portland Actors Conservatory.

Now after 40 years from when it all began TJ is circling back to his first love of performance: magic.  He brings with him a wealth of storytelling and comedic timing he has honed through those many years on the stage.

TJ’s magic promises to entertain and enthrall audiences as he attempts to impart on them the same sense of wonder and excitement as when he saw his very first magical performance as a child.

JOHN STEVENS

John Stevens is a magician and mentalist who goes beyond illusion and weaves them into stories. With a unique blend of mystery, psychology, and theatrical flair, John invites audiences into a world where the impossible becomes a mirror, reflecting the wonder, emotions, and connections we all share.

His performances aren’t just about tricks; they’re about truths—those found in laughter, surprise, and the moments when we all feel part of something bigger. Whether on stage or in an intimate setting, John uses magic as a language to remind us that, at our core, we are more alike than different.

A storyteller at heart and a mind-reader and magician by craft, John doesn’t just entertain—he shows how we all are connected.

PROFESSOR D.R. SCHREIBER, THE HISTORICAL CONJUROR

As a professor of natural philosophy, presenter of experimental conjuring, and exhibitor of legerdemain, Professor DR Schreiber evokes the spirit of early magical performances. His audiences experience illusion and mystery in the same way that 18th, 19th, and early 20th century aristocrats, nobles and elite would have seen it, in their home, mansion, or estate with a private demonstration.  Professor DR Schreiber brings parlor magic back into parlors.

Professor DR Schreiber is Danny Schreiber, a Portland, OR-based magic historian, performer, and teacher of young magicians.  He has performed throughout the West Coast, the United Kingdom and Hungary.  He is the past President and a current board member with the Portland Assembly of Society of American Magicians, a member of the Portland Society of Magicians, the Conjuring Arts Research Center and the Academy of Magical Arts (Magic Castle), as well as a certified mentor for the Society of Young Magicians, Salem and Portland chapters.  Schreiber is also holds status of Full Professor at Camelard College of Conjuring Chemmis.

Schreiber uses his long career as a television producer and years of working as a cast member at Disneyland to enhance the all around entertainment experience for his audiences.
