Thibaud Mandet grew up in the middle of France, in Auvergne, an area known for mountains and Michelin tires. After completing a degree in biochemistry, he learned winemaking in Bordeaux and Champagne before making his way to Corsica, Texas, and finally Oregon in 2000. Thibaud worked at Willakenzie Estate for years before planting his own vineyard in a former cherry orchard in 2017, and sourced fruit for his first wines from Momtazi and Hyland vineyards. Thibaud’s wines represent some of the best-value single-vineyard Chardonnays and Pinots we’ve come across, and his traditional method bubbles and back-vintage rosé are not to be missed either!
