We get along with Alex Forston primarily because he chose a Latin name for his project. Kidding.

Alex had a long career in photojournalism (his ‘gram is pretty breathtaking), and spent a lot of time in east Africa documenting non-profit activity. His work also took him to Italy, where he fell in love with wine, and realized that he needed a bit of career shift away from photojournalism. Alex has since spent years working in nearly every aspect of the wine industry, from marketing to e-commerce to retail, before launching Meliora in 2023. We were thrilled to pour wines from his first vintage by the glass, and now in his second vintage of crafting Pinot from wonderful organically- and dry-farmed vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills, Alex is proving himself to be skilled beyond his years.
