Discover Sicily through its wine, food, and culture
Ora et Labora takes on Sicily!
Join us for eight days exploring Eastern and Southern Sicily, where wine, food, history, and hospitality are deeply intertwined. We believe wine is one of the best ways to understand a place. Through conversations with growers, shared meals, and time spent exploring, we'll experience Sicily through the people, traditions, and landscapes that have shaped its wines. From the volcanic vineyards of Mount Etna to the rolling hills of Vittoria and the seaside streets of Ortigia, we'll visit inspiring producers, cook together, wander historic towns, and enjoy the flavors that make this island unlike anywhere else. If you love thoughtful wine, memorable meals, and the simple joy of gathering around the table with good company, we'd love to have you join us.

Do I need extensive wine knowledge? Not at all. Curiosity and enthusiasm matter more than expertise.
What airport should I fly into? We recommend flying in and out of Catania (CTA), unless you intend to extend your travels before or after the trip.
What are the hotels like?
We've chosen boutique accommodations that reflect the beauty and character of Sicily. In Taormina, we'll stay at Villa Taormina, an elegant villa tucked into the heart of the historic town, with lush gardens, beautiful views, and easy access to Taormina's winding streets, restaurants, and cafés. In the Vittoria region, we'll stay at Relais Chiaramonte, a charming agriturismo set on a working olive farm, where the slower pace of the Sicilian countryside takes center stage. We'll also spend our final evening at a carefully selected hotel near Catania Airport before departure. All accommodations include private ensuite bathrooms and daily breakfast. How will we get around Sicily?
Once the trip begins, all transportation within Sicily is included. We'll travel together by private minibus between destinations, wineries, and activities. Guests are responsible for arranging transportation to our first hotel in Taormina and from our final hotel near Catania Airport at the conclusion of the trip. How active will the trip be? Guests should be comfortable walking through historic towns, navigating cobblestone streets, uneven terrain, and occasional stairs, and spending time on their feet during winery visits and guided activities. While there are active moments each day, the pace is relaxed, with plenty of time to linger over meals, wine, and conversation.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We want everyone to enjoy the incredible food Sicily has to offer. With advance notice, we're happy to work with our local partners to accommodate many common dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and food allergies whenever possible. Because many of our meals take place at small wineries and family-run restaurants, accommodations may be more limited than on a typical group tour. If you have significant dietary restrictions, please reach out before booking so we can talk through your needs. Will there be free time? Yes. While many experiences will be shared, there will also be time for independent exploration and rest.
Is this trip right for solo travelers?
Absolutely! We welcome solo travelers and have a limited number of single-occupancy rooms available for an additional fee. Many of our guests join us on their own, and our small group size makes it easy to get to know one another. If you're interested in traveling solo, we encourage you to book early, as single accommodations are limited.
