Leyla and Ian met in college, and they are certainly one of the most exciting underground duos we’ve come across in our two-plus years of existence. Anyone who’s familiar with our shop knows that we dig winemakers who do their thing intentionally and carefully, but with a spirit of joy. The very name “Horse Devours” reminds us of some of our favorite French winemakers who are naming their lovely wines with a spirit of playfulness.

This is a new-ish project that began in 2022, after Leyla and Ian spent a bunch of time exploring wines of the world, and falling into natural wine circles.
